Battery Act notices
In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices containing batteries, we are required as a seller under the German Battery Act (BattG) to inform you of the following:
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste; you are legally obliged to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries. After use, you can return batteries to us or to the designated collection points - e.g. municipal collection points or retailers - free of charge. You can also send the batteries back to us by post, with sufficient postage.
The symbol of the crossed-out wheelie bin means that you must not dispose of batteries and rechargeable batteries with household waste. Beneath this symbol you will also find the following symbols with the following meanings:
- Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium
- Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005 percent by mass of mercury
