MPPT Solar Charge Controller: Choose the Right Option for You
This solar kit is available with a choice of two MPPT solar charge controllers to suit your requirements. Select your preferred option above:
1. Votronic MPP Solar Charge Controller
Features two charging outputs: a main output for your leisure battery and an additional maintenance charging output for your starter battery (max. 1A), with overcharge protection.
It also features active cooling.
Bluetooth monitoring requires an additional device.
2. Victron Energy SmartSolar
Features built-in Bluetooth monitoring, but no additional charging output for the starter battery.
Cooling is passive.
Note: Adequate ventilation is essential wherever these devices are installed so that heat can dissipate. For passive cooling, mount the controller on a vertical surface with the cooling fins running vertically and allow sufficient airflow around it.
Complete Solar Kit with ULTRAblack tiger 80
This kit includes the following carefully matched components:
2 ULTRAblack tiger 80 solar panels (dimensions: 1385 × 300 mm each)
Note: When planning your installation, allow for the mounting corners as well as the panels themselves. These require an additional 6 cm on each side.
