Victron Cerbo GX MK2
The Victron Cerbo GX MK2 is the upgraded version of Victron Energy’s proven GX communication center. It connects and controls all system components such as inverters, chargers, batteries, and sensors – either locally via a touch display or remotely through the Victron Remote Portal (VRM). With its enhanced inputs/outputs, improved interfaces, and new software functions, the Cerbo GX MK2 is ideal for modern energy installations in RVs, yachts, off-grid systems, and industrial environments.
Functionality & System Integration
The Cerbo GX MK2 provides flexible control for virtually any Victron system. It processes real-time data from sensors, temperatures, tank levels, and device statuses, manages charging operations, and can trigger alarms or automated actions. The system can be operated through a GX Touch display (e.g., Touch 50 or 70), via smartphone/tablet with the VictronConnect app, or remotely via the web-based VRM portal.
Differences from the previous Cerbo GX
Compared to the previous Cerbo GX model, the MK2 version offers several improvements:
- Two VE.Can ports, one of which is galvanically isolated – ideal for complex CAN-based systems.
- Three fully functional USB ports, all supporting both data and power (no power-only port).
- 180° rotated RJ45 connectors – simplifies cable routing during wall installation.
- Digital inputs with pulse counting function – e.g., for integrating water or gas meters.
In terms of hardware (CPU, RAM, enclosure), the Cerbo GX MK2 is identical to its predecessor. However, the added features make a real difference in more complex installations.
