Battery dead and the right cable not with you? Or a tangle of cables in your luggage so that you always have the right charging cable? Who doesn't know that!? But with Qi(TM) charging technology, i.e. wireless induction charging, that will soon be a thing of the past. There are already elegant solutions for travel vehicle conversions.

Many devices are already suitable for induction charging or can be retrofitted with a discreet patch. This patch is plugged into the charging port and can be tucked away discreetly in the protective case - and in no time you can charge your smartphone, tablet & co. on Qi charging stations without a cable.

One of the first suppliers to bring suitable and seriously stylish solutions to the travel vehicle market is Scanstrut, part of the tigerexped range since early 2019.

The British company originally comes from the yacht sector, so the materials are marine grade and, thanks to the specially developed IXP6 technology, waterproof (encapsulated and sealed), as well as UV- and saltwater-resistant, durable and tough. But back to induction charging. Quite apart from the fact that a life without annoying cable tangles is simply nicer, especially for very active people and travelers, the Scanstrut charging pads are also incredibly elegant, unobtrusive, waterproof and fitted with a non-slip surface. Whether 12V or 24V, the system is perfect for life on the road. It meets the latest Qi standards and is easy to install, whether inside or outside - as already mentioned, everything is waterproof! So wherever you want to use your device and place it for charging. The system works with device cases up to 3mm thick.

The range includes three variants: for mounting on flat surfaces, for installing into a worktop or other surface, and a discreet, almost invisible built-in version. Installation works with different materials and material thicknesses, and no further sealing, waterproofing or splash protection is needed, as the materials come from the marine sector, are waterproof to IXP6 and UV-resistant. So simply find a nice spot in the worktop or on a shelf or similar, mount it very easily and then charge your phone, tablet etc. by simply placing it on this built-in charging pad.

The ROKK range from Scanstrut was developed to be Qi-compatible, meaning that the charging pads can universally charge all devices that are suitable for inductive charging. Many smartphones and tablets already are, and if not, you can retrofit them as mentioned with suitable patches for Micro-USB or Lightning connectors.
