12V USB-C 100W Charging Socket with Buck-Boost for Campers & Expedition Vehicles
Modern devices – especially laptops – now primarily charge via USB-C Power Delivery.
With the convertiger 100 EVO-1C version, you focus entirely on the current standard and get maximum power per port – without compromise. The convertiger 100 with 1 × USB-C and an additional 1 × USB-A is available under item number VAR35970.
100W USB-C in a 12V onboard system – how does it work?
A conventional 12V onboard system cannot provide 20V directly. The integrated buck-boost converter increases the input voltage up to 20V when required – entirely on the DC side.
This means:
- Direct charging of high-performance laptops via USB-C in your camper
- Higher efficiency compared to using an inverter (no conversion losses)
- No inverter standby losses
- Reduced installation and overall system complexity
Automatic LED shut-off function
After plugging in the cable, the current charging voltage is displayed for 20 seconds. The display then switches off automatically, followed by the backlight after another 10 seconds.
No disturbing light in the sleeping area and no unnecessary power consumption.
Integration into existing switch systems
The convertiger 100 fits into the following switch systems:
- Berker Integro
- Inprojal 20,000
These systems are installed by many vehicle manufacturers and are well established in professional van conversions as well as DIY builds. The charging socket integrates seamlessly – ideal for retrofits or series production builds.
Tip: With our switch range configurators, you can put together complete socket and switch combinations for your camper Project.

Good to know:
If the convertiger 100 does not charge at full power, the following factors may be responsible:
- The device does not request full power (this may depend on its state of charge)
- No suitable 5A USB-C cable with e-marker
- Insufficient input voltage (minimum 11.5V required for full 100W output)
- Ambient temperature too high
