Votronic VCC 2412-45 Li – charge your 12V leisure battery from a 24V vehicle system
Does your vehicle run on 24V while your living area uses a 12V lithium battery? The Votronic VCC 2412-45 Li connects the two systems, charging your LiFePO₄ leisure battery at up to 45A while you drive. There is no need to install a second alternator. This makes it particularly well suited to truck-based motorhomes and expedition vehicles.
Charging tailored to your lithium battery
Four selectable LiFePO₄ charging profiles allow you to match the charger to your battery's charging requirements. The multi-stage charging system manages the charging process automatically, while connected 12V appliances can continue to run.
The charger compensates for voltage fluctuations in the vehicle electrical system and voltage drops along the charging cables. A dedicated operating mode also supports Euro 6 vehicles with smart alternators.
Galvanic isolation between battery circuits
The input and output are galvanically isolated. This keeps the 24V vehicle electrical system and the 12V leisure battery circuit electrically separated within the charger – a valuable feature in systems using different voltage levels.
Automatic operation with temperature monitoring
The charger is activated via D+ or the ignition signal, or by voltage sensing when configured accordingly. The included temperature sensor monitors the leisure battery and allows charging to be adjusted according to battery temperature. The charger will not operate without the temperature sensor connected.
Use a complete LiFePO₄ battery with an integrated BMS and cell balancing. The selected charging profile must match your battery manufacturer's requirements.
