If you want to monitor your tank levels reliably and as accurately as possible, a capacitive tank sensor is hard to beat. The Votronic Tank Electrode 25–75 K is designed exactly for this purpose – robust, precise, and well suited for practical use in vehicle electrical systems.
 

Reliable measurement without mechanical parts

Unlike conventional float-based sensors, this tank electrode operates completely without moving parts. Instead, it measures capacitively along the entire probe length.

This makes it:

• insensitive to deposits and contamination
• durable with no mechanical wear
• significantly more accurate than simple point or step-based measurements

You get a continuous, linear signal – the basis for a truly reliable tank level display.
 

For typical tank heights in camper builds

The 25–75 K variant is ideal for medium to tall tanks, as commonly used in many campers, vans, and expedition vehicles.

The electrode is simply cut to the actual tank height and then calibrated. This allows it to match your tank precisely – regardless of manufacturer or shape.
 

Universal application

The tank electrode is suitable for:

• fresh water
• grey water
• black water

It works in both plastic and metal tanks, making it suitable for almost any installation scenario.
 

Simple adjustment and calibration

After shortening, you set the measurement range directly using the adjustment control located at the top of the sensor.
The “full” level can also be defined without a filled tank – practical if installation is done before initial system commissioning.
 

Flexible installation

The tank electrode offers several installation options:

• installation from inside
• installation from outside
• for fresh water tanks, installation from below is also possible

Installation is done via a standard 38 mm opening (PG29), which simplifies integration.
 

Suitable for 12 V and 24 V systems

The electrode is designed for continuous operation in 12 V and 24 V on-board electrical systems, making it compatible with nearly all camper and expedition vehicle setups.
