Description
MC4-Y adapter to connect 2 modules or module strings in parallel. Important: MC4 is specified up to a maximum of 30A, i.e. the total current when connected in parallel must not exceed this value. To do this, calculate the sum of the currents in the maximum power point - sometimes "nominal current" is also stated in the data sheet. On top of that, please calculate at least a 10% buffer so that winter (extra power due to temperatures under the test conditions at which the power of the modules is specified) can be covered.
