Our heating box kit includes all components required to install an Autoterm Air 2D heater into a custom enclosure. The DIY heating box is fully mobile and therefore particularly suitable for roof tent setups and micro campers, as well as for workshops or sheds without a permanently installed heating system.
How long can I heat with it?
The 7.5 l tank provides up to 30 hours of heat at full load consumption of 250 ml/h.
What else do I need?
A box of your choice as the enclosure.
We recommend an aluminium box with a volume of approx. 70 litres. The minimum internal dimensions should be L 53 x W 32.8 x H 38 cm. With these dimensions, the warm air ducts can also be stored during transport and, if required, a battery can be accommodated.
The power supply can be configured individually. If the system is to be operated with 230 V, a 230 V to 12 V power supply unit can be installed. This should provide at least 25 A.
Alternatively, the box can be equipped with a battery. We recommend an AGM battery with a capacity of at least 30 Ah.
Control and operating units
A control panel is included in the scope of delivery. You can choose between two variants:
Comfort Control
Control panel with multifunction rotary knob and display: easy operation, timer function, voltage display and thermostat mode. This proven all-rounder also features a maintenance reminder (burn-off cycle) and voltage monitoring that can actively shut down the heater to protect the battery.
Mini Control
Simple control panel for adjusting the heater via power levels. Using temperature mode with this panel requires an optional external temperature sensor.
