Configurable installation kit for Autoterm Air diesel air heaters for boats and yachts.
Key advantages
- For installing Autoterm Air 2D or Air 4D heaters on boats and yachts
- Individually configurable for different installation setups
- Available with 2 kW or 4 kW heating output
- Suitable for 12 V or 24 V on-board electrical systems
- Altitude kit included for automatic adjustment to air pressure
- E-mark certified (e2), no approval required for installation
Autoterm heaters, previously known as Planar 2D and Planar 44D, have proven themselves for many years in vehicles on land and water. While the name has changed, the robust and reliable technology remains the same.
The same applies to the advantages of the current Autoterm Air range. When installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions, they can be fitted by users themselves without affecting warranty.
All Autoterm heaters carry the E-mark certification (e2), confirming they have been tested for safety and can be installed without additional approval.
What makes this heater “marine”?
There is no special marine version of the heater. The unit itself is 100% identical to those used in land vehicles.
So-called marine kits on the market usually consist only of selected components, not a different heater.
What is the advantage of our marine kit?
Every boat is different. There are multiple types of hull fittings, mounting positions and air routing solutions.
A fixed kit would ignore these differences. That’s why we chose a different approach.
Individually configurable system
Our shop allows you to configure the relevant components individually. This way, you can assemble a setup that matches your specific installation.
Autoterm heaters for water and land use
The kit includes a diesel air heater from Autoterm.
You can choose between Autoterm Air 2D (approx. 2 kW) and Autoterm Air 4D (4 kW).
The heater should be selected according to the volume of the heated space. Oversized heaters running constantly at low output can lead to soot buildup. Running the heater at full output from time to time helps maintain long service life.
Control units
A control unit is included. You can choose from the following options:
Comfort Control
Control unit with multifunction rotary knob and display: easy operation, timer function, voltage display and thermostat mode – a proven all-rounder with additional burn-off reminder and voltage monitoring that can actively switch off the heater to protect the battery.

Touch Control
Modern touch control panel with clear menu structure. Ideal if you prefer a particularly comfortable and intuitive user experience and want to keep an eye on all values.

Mini Control
The Mini Control is a simple control panel for adjusting power levels. Using temperature mode requires an optional external temperature sensor.

Push Control (optional)
Since 2025, two control units can be operated simultaneously on one heater.
With Push Control, the heater can be operated via a second, compact control knob. This allows you to operate the heater, for example, from the helm, your berth, or another area on board. Compatible with the Comfort Control control unit.
